Today was another great day with the kids. Fridays are not typical school days, but are usually used to play games with the kids. Jenny, being a great P.E. teacher, came with supplies and ideas for several great games. The problem, of course, is that there is little attention paid to rule following, and it is difficult to translate multi-step directions. So, Zenyeto a villager who helps us with our teaching, was able to instruct and demonstrate how to Limbo and do a jumping contest. Wow. Those kids could jump!! I took some video of this and will try to upload it to add to the blog as soon as I have the time.
I, on the other hand, was in a room working with the little ones to play musical chairs. The kids thought that the c.d. player was amazing. They would come up to it and just poke it. I don't think they had ever seen one before. They love to dance and, might I say, do it well! They would put Beyonce to shame!
We went into the city this afternoon to go to the grocery store. The food here is primarily imported, unless you buy from local street vendors which we are hesitant to do, so I am eating some pretty fancy imported food!
Thank you so much to those who are reading our blog, emailing us and commenting on our posts. It means a lot that you are taking interest in our adventure and we are thankful to share our experiences with you!
Much Love
Lauren

Hey Lauren,
It sounds like you had another wonderful day! I keep forgetting the time difference. When I saw "Friday" night I had to step back and think for a minute.
I am praying for your days and nights.
Shari

Hi Lauren and friends,
It is wonderful hearing about and seeing photos of your activities. I know the children are benefiting in a positive manner. Keep up the good work and enjoy!

I am praying for you! I am inspired by the 3 of you and how you are giving yourselves to God to be his hands, feet, heart, and voice in a way that only He can get the glory. The children will feel the love of Christ through you even if you cannot speak of it. You are planting seeds! With much love, Rebekah
Jealous. Man, wish I could be there. I am asking that the Father works wonders in you all....keep your eyes focused. Love you!!!!
