Holding the rope...

I have recently heard the quote "I will go down into the pit if you will hold the rope". This refers to the idea that missionaries are glad to "go and do" if they have people supporting them, praying for them and encouraging them along the way. My family and friends amaze me. The support that I have already received from many of you has not only been an encouragement, it is reaffirming that our trip is something that many think is important. To think of the ways in which some of you have sacrificed to give to this cause is humbling to say the least. I wish I could say something that wasn't as overused as "thank you" but truly, from the bottom of my heart....thank you.

My greatest hope and prayer for this summer is to be sure that the children know that they matter. Their lives are important to me and to the God who created them in His image. Thank you for your help in making this happen.
